Hex Coupling Nuts are double chamfered hex nuts available in various widths and lengths. The length of the nut is greater than 2.5D where D equals the basic major thread diameter. Coupling nuts are also referred to as rod couplings. They are used to join together two externally threaded parts of equal thread diameter and pitch, often two pieces for threaded rod.
